Brewarrina Central School KinderSTART

Future Kindergarten students can learn through play, meet school staff and become familiar with a dedicated learning and play space. KinderSTART runs on Mondays and Tuesdays during Term 4. Breakfast, crunch and sip, recess and lunch are provided for participating children; contact the school for the current schedule and enrolment details.

MacKillop Family Strengthening Service

Free local support is available for expecting parents, adoptive families and families with children aged 0–12, including some parents or carers whose children are not in their care. The service covers Brewarrina, Barwon 4 and West Brewarrina Reserves, offering weekly supported playgroups, home visits, group work, community skill-building and connections with other services. NSW Health Child and Family Health Services — Brewarrina

Families with children aged 0–5 can access free child health and development checks, along with guidance about feeding, sleep, behaviour, development and parent wellbeing. Brewarrina Aboriginal Medical Service

BAMS serves Brewarrina and surrounding communities, with family-focused care that includes child health and immunisations, family health, and antenatal and postnatal care. Its programs also include Aboriginal culture, youth and education initiatives for Aboriginal people.

MacKillop NDIS Therapy Support NSW

This regional rural NSW pathway supports children from birth to 14 who have an NDIS plan, disability or developmental delay, together with their families. Therapy assistants work alongside the family and a nominated allied health professional in settings such as home, school, early childhood services or the community. An NDIS package is required. NSW Health Virtual Residential Parenting Service

NSW families with children aged 0–3 who need extra parenting support can access this free five-day, four-night online service. Telehealth sessions cover sleeping and settling, feeding, development, behaviour and parent wellbeing, with partners and other carers welcome to join. A reliable internet connection and camera-enabled device are required. Eligibility enquiries can be made to Karitane on 1300 227 464 or Tresillian on 1300 272 736.

Parent Line NSW

Parents and carers of children aged 0–18 can call 1300 1300 52 for free support, information, referrals and counselling. The statewide service operates from 9 am–9 pm on weekdays and 4–9 pm on weekends; calls from NSW landlines are charged at local-call rates.

Carer Gateway Counselling Service

Carers aged over 18 can access free counselling one-to-one, in a group, by phone or through an in-person service-provider pathway. Call 1800 422 737 from 8 am–5 pm Monday to Friday, selecting option 1 for in-person counselling or option 2 for phone counselling. Young carers are directed by the service to Kids Helpline.
